The Thirtieth day of the March 1780, Tuition of the person and portion of Stephen Andrew, a minor, the natural and lawful child of Joseph Andrew, late of Lofthouse in the Diocese of York, deceased, was granted to Thomas Jackson his uncle ( Eleanor Andrew widow, his Grandmother and next of kin renouncing ) being first sworn etc. before the Reverend William Leigh Williamson, Clerk Surrogate (Saving etc). No schedule was exhibited but Bond is entered.
The same day, the Last Will and Testament of Joseph Andrew, late of Lofthouse in the Diocese of York, deceased passed the Seal of this Council being first proved before the Surrogate aforesaid and Admon of his goods etc. (with his said Will annexed) was granted to Thomas Jackson Tutor or Guardian of Stephen Andrew, a Minor, son and sole executor of the said Will named, to execute and perform the said Will according to the intention of the Testator and to administer their goods, chattels and credits of the said deceased according to law for the use and during the minority of the said Minor, being first sworn etc. before the said surrogate (Saving etc) An inventory was exhibited, above 20£ and Bond is entered.

- Stephen died before he reached the age of 21 so he never inherited under his father's Will. The inheritance would have passed to his sister Deborah, as per the provision in the Will, although it would appear that she had to pursue an action in Chancery.
