  	It is not known for absolute certainty, where William joins the Andrew tree but the most likely candidates for his parents are William Andrew by his first wife, Mary Stephenson, who married in November 1671. She died in January 1685/6 and conceivably this could have been as a result of young William's birth. The year of birth for young William is calculated from the age stated at death in his burial entry burial entry in 1772. The first known record for William is his marriage in Whitby, in 1718. His occupation of Carpenter is recorded against his wife's entry and subsequently against his own entry, in the burial registers. The surname has been mis-transcribed as 'Andrews' and this has been reported to FMP for correction.

  	William is stated as being 86 years old and a Carpenter of Whitby. His wife's burial entry in 1770 describes her as, 'wife of William Andrew, carpenter'. So he was still alive then but dies the following year. This is certainly the correct burial for this William.
