Email from Lindsey Goakes - Hi, Pamela Andrews was my mother in law from my first marriage. She married Matthew Andrews in 1973. Matt died in Cape Town in 2012. My son Tyron although no blood relative was very fond of Matt and indeed considered him his grandfather. When his son was born last year in Australia he named him Matthew in honour of hisGrandfather. I was also very fond of Matthew. My husband and I now live in York and we drove past Marton Abbey Farm in Stillington today and had to come home and look it up. So delighted we found your website, Matt would have been delighted! If you want to get in touch please do, we would love to hear from you! He did live in the former Rhodesia for many years and had his own earth Moving and Construction Company. He Married Pam in 1973 in Bulawayo. She was Pamela Gatlish when they married but I am unsure of her Maiden name, sorry. Pam died about 12 years ago and he coped as well as he could but I think he struggled. He was a good Andrews too and wasn't always big on the social side!! He did have a great sense of humour though!
